Skiing in the sun in the alps

Ski and sun in Tyrol

In the spring the days become longer and the temperatures start to rise on the pistes. This is the time to enjoy some skiing in the sun in See in the Tyrolean Alps.

Those winter sport enthusiasts that are susceptible to the cold are often at a disadvantage in the cold winter months. With icy temperatures, snowfall and storms they suffer from numb fingers and toes whilst skiing. From March onwards, however, this bitter cold spell is usually over. The temperatures begin to rise and the sun drenched white slopes of the Tyrolean Alps offer ski enthusiasts an incomparable view.

A sunny day in the mountains around See in the Tyrolean Paznaun is not only inviting for skiing in Tyrol. In the ski huts and mountain restaurants Tyrolean specialities await the hungry winter sport enthusiasts. After a hearty meal the best option is to just stay there and sunbathe.

However, be careful. Never underestimate the power of the sun in the high alpine areas. The UV-rays and effects of the sun are far more intense at such altitudes than down in the valley. Even if temperatures are just above freezing, you can still get sunburned very quickly.

After an afternoon of sunbathing on the terrace of one of the ski huts in the See ski region, the best thing to do is to head straight to après ski. The hilarious atmosphere and rousing music will soon get you dancing and flirting. The ‘must have’ accessory is obviously a pair of stylish sunglasses, not just because the sunrays and snow are so bright at this time of year.

After a great day of skiing in Tyrol in the See ski region, the fun continues in the evenings in the bars, chalets and huts in the valley. Experience the joys of sunshine skiing in the Tyrolean Alps and send us your enquiry now for your no-obligation quotation for your accommodation in See in Tyrol
