The Ascher hut – at 2,256 metres above sea level – at the Samnaun mountain range exists since 1895. Imagine the following: you’ve almost completed your hike and you would like to take a little break to chat with your friends or family. With an audible sigh, you plop down onto one of the chairs outside on the sun deck and take in the breath-taking 360-degree view of the mountains. In front of you: a plate full of “Tiroler Knödel” with sauerkraut and a delicious, fluffy “Kaiserschmarrn” with “Zwetschgenkompott” – doesn’t this make your mouth water already?
What are you waiting for, then? Off you go to the Ascher hut in See!
