Flathsee Flathsee

The Flathsee is beautifully embedded in a basin surrounded by the Giggler Spitze, Kegelkopf and Gatschkopf.

Small but charming – like for many other mountain lakes in Tyrol, this also applies to Lake Flathsee. After all, what the emerald-green mountain lake may lack in size, it more than compensates with its scenic beauty. Surrounded by rugged rock and lush green mountain pastures, picturesque Lake Flathsee is the perfect place to shrug off your backpack, sit down and take in the marvellous view. Simply breathe in, breathe out – and experience pure mountain bliss!

How to get to Lake Flathsee:

  • From the mountain station of the cable car in See, continue towards Versingalpe and Giggler Alm.
  • From there, follow the picturesque mountain trail to Flathtalalpe at 1.687 m.
