When the sun sets in Tyrol, the day in the Paznaun valley is far from over. On selected evenings, floodlit runs keep the action going in both See and Kappl. In See, “Medrig Night Fever” combines night tobogganing and night skiing with live music and a laser show. In Kappl, the tobogganing evening takes you down to the valley on the floodlit toboggan run, making it a great winter evening out for families, friends and anyone who is not quite ready to call it a day after skiing.

“Medrig Night Fever” in See

Night tobogganing, night skiing & an evening at the lodge

Medrig Night Fever” turns See into a lively meeting place for anyone who wants to stay out in the snow after dark. On selected evenings, the slope and toboggan run remain open after nightfall, accompanied by live concerts at Medrig Alm and a laser show at Geigerhang.

  • Starts: 7:30 pm (first ascent of Medrigjochbahn cable car)  
  • Night tobogganing: until 10:45 pm (subject to snow conditions)  
  • Night skiing: until 10:00 pm 
  • Food & drinks: Medrig Alm  
  • Live concert on the Medrig Alm stage: 8:30 pm to around 10:00 pm

In Kappl, the six-kilometre natural toboggan run starting at Diasbahn cable car is floodlit every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The evening is ideal for families, friends and anyone who wants to spend time outdoors after dark. If you do not have your own toboggan, you can rent one directly in Kappl and set off spontaneously. 

  • Location: Kappl in the Paznaun valley 
  • Dates: every Thursday, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm 
  • Ascent: with the Diasbahn cable car 
  • Route: 6 km natural toboggan run, 650 metres of descent 
  • Final patrol run: 10:30 pm

Tickets for both night events are available from the ticket shop. Current prices are listed on the ski pass prices overview page. With a 4-day ski pass or longer for the Kappl & See ski area, the night events in Kappl and See are included. The Silvretta ski pass and flexipasses are excluded.

If you do not have your own toboggan, you can easily rent one locally in both villages. In Kappl, for example, toboggans are available from Intersport Ladner and in See from Sport Narr, both right next to the respective valley stations.

In See, the Medrig Alm panoramic restaurant is open on event evenings, serving Tyrolean specialities and drinks accompanied by live music. In Kappl, you can stop off at the Sunny Mountain Restaurant or Bock-Alm. 

Lodges & restaurants

Warm, weatherproof winter clothing and sturdy footwear are particularly important for night tobogganing. Wearing a helmet is also strongly recommended to help keep you protected on the way down. Thermal base layers will keep you warm too, so you can enjoy the ride without getting chilled.
