19 Winter circular walk to Rotweg Chapel

The winter hiking trail to the Rotweg Chapel takes you through snowy forests and rewards you with a beautiful view of Kappl.

Experience the tranquillity of winter on the idyllic path to the Rotweg Chapel.
From the cable car car park in Kappl, you hike into the valley, past fluffy alpacas and three old barns (Pilla). At the Visnitzbach stream, a wide view opens up, and in the distance you can see the impressive Visnitz waterfall.
The winter hiking trail then leads you through the snow-covered landscape up to the Rotweg Chapel. Once at the top, you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Kappl and the surrounding hamlets – a winter moment to breathe deeply and enjoy.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Dorf
