K.5.: Mittagkopf

Medium-difficulty hike to Mittagkopf and back

Starting from the village square in Kappl the route leads, as outlined in tour K.2, in the direction of the valley station of the Kappl mountain railway to the Rotweg Chapel. From there follow the signges to Visnitzalm. Above the lodge a forest trail heads left to beneath the Mittagkopf. From here a colourful hiking trail begins, surrounded by lots of alpine roses, up to Mittagkopf, which promises an impressive view into the alpine area.
Return section: same way back.

Parking in Galtür, Ischgl, Kappl & See | Region Paznaun – Ischgl

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Dorfplatz or Kappl Bergbahn
